The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program, which was established in 2018, will bid farewell to its first graduates with a graduation ceremony to be held on July 16, 2022.
FIU School of Tourism and Culinary Arts instructors prepared their students for graduation by using all means. Candidates who will graduate proved the value of the education they received by organizing two separate events as part of their seminar course. In addition to the dishes and flavors of the menus presented in the events, the team spirit of the graduate candidates was applauded by the participants and they made their instructors proud.
The menu of students named Alim Malta, Sevgi Aksaç, Büşra Göktaş, Doğukan Gürel, Çağatay Karay and Ülküm Damla İnan, who organized their first events at Meryem's Hotel under the name of Modern Anatolian Cuisine Inspirations, marked the night in terms of taste.
The second event was Fusion Cuisine samples at Safinaz Restaurant. İlkcan Cilasın, Ahmet Temiz, Hazal Çelen, Iurie Pleto, Doğuş Macit, Tufan Erturun and Ecem Sena Girici, who served mainly Italian, French and Turkish cuisine with special sauces and garnishes on the menu, were applauded by the guests.
STCA education staff said: “We are proud of our graduates, we believe they will be very successful in the sector, and even though it is a bittersweet to see them leave, we proudly bid them farewell to their new adventures.”
