TRNC Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Nazım Çavuşoğlu visited FIU. The Minister was extremely impressed by our campus and praised FIU for meeting contemporary standards both in this regard and in terms of the educational opportunities that the university offers. With its highly qualified staff, the Minister stated that FIU has an extremely bright future. He also noted that the Ministry is always open to cooperation with FIU and underlined the importance of the society taking advantage of the universities in our country.

For his part, FIU Rector, Professor Dr. Abdullah Öztoprak welcomed the Minister and stressed that FIU’s aim is to provide international standard education, whilst adopting a policy of continuous development and improvement. Dr. Öztoprak noted that the name of our University is no coincidence, and that FIU already has students from nineteen different countries and a multicultural academic staff. multicultural academicians.  He emphasized that FIU is always ready to participate in projects that will benefit society and is open to all forms of collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
