The Gastronomy Festival organized by the Turkish Cooks and Chefs Federation (TAŞFED) was held in Tuzla Marina fairground between 23-26 December 2022 with 1300 participants from 19 countries and 90 international juries.
Final International University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students Hüseyin Gali, Sevilay Yücelen, Alperen Atalay, Nurettin Yüce, Zafer İsa Tosun and their instructors Kemal Ferit and Selim Yeşilpınar participated in the competition as a team.
FIU has achieved success in 6 different categories of the competition:
1- University Level Pasta Plate category Gold Medal - Alperen Atalay
2- University Level Main Meal Category Gold Medal - Nurettin Yüce
3- University Level Main Meal Category Gold Medal - Hüseyin Gali
4- University Level Fish Category Silver Medal - Zafer İsa Tosun
5- University Level Dessert Category Gold Medal - Sevilay Yücelen
6- University Level Modern Turkish Cuisine Team Competition Silver Medal - Hüseyin Gali, Zafer İsa Tosun, Sevilay Yücelen
