This year's UNWTO World Tourism Day celebration topic is 'Tourism and Peace'.  Tourism has served as a catalyst for peace for centuries. As developing countries around the world progress, the tourism sector, much like many other sectors, needs to transform to serve as a means for prosperity at a universal scale. Final International University, School of Tourism and Culinary Arts with its programs related to Tourism and Culinary on different levels (associate, bachelor, master’s, doctorate) hosts students from over 35 nationalities all around the world - making it home for a multi-cultural learning environment.  With the school’s aims and vision of sustainability and creating global citizens it strives to enhance the well-being of individuals, safeguarding the natural environment, local economic advancement, and fostering international harmony which are the key goals of the UN Tourism. The bottom line is, if we understand each other's culture, we appreciate that we are actually the same, but in a different way.  Therefore, we believe in peace through tourism.  As FIU, STCA we would like to wish a happy World Tourism Day, that brings peace to our world.
