The Family and Women Research Studies Center of Final International University (FIU-AKAUM) and the Turkish Cypriot Association of Women Entrepreneurs (GİKAD) signed a significant collaboration protocol on December 20, 2024. This protocol aims to promote gender equality, empower women in social and economic life, preserve cultural uniqueness, and implement academic projects addressing women's issues.

The protocol was signed on behalf of GIKAD by GİKAD president, Assist. Prof. Dr. İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, and on behalf of Final International University by Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Gemikonaklı. FIU-AKAUM Director Prof. Dr. Nazife Aydınoğlu and GİKAD members were also present at the signing ceremony.

Collaborative Projects Aiming for Social Benefit

This meaningful partnership is seen as a major step for both Final International University and GİKAD in realizing projects that will enhance societal benefit. Within the scope of the protocol, activities and academic studies will be conducted to ensure women play a more active role in social and economic life.
Through this collaboration, FIU-AKAUM and GİKAD aim to make significant contributions to the Turkish Cypriot community. The projects resulting from this protocol are expected to take a pioneering role in the fields of gender equality and women's empowerment.
