As part of their studies of written expression in Turkish, students taking FIU’s Turkish Language Teaching program were recently in Nicosia, together with their instructor, Assoc. Dr. Nesibe Akıntuğ and other fellow academics. The students visited historical landmars such as Nicosia Büyük Han and the Arasta area as well as the Presidential Office, the Dr. Fazil Küçük museum. Students took notes throughout to form the basis of follow-up writing for the course and discussions of types of written expression and alternative perceptions.
