International Women’s Day on March 8th was marked by a variety of different activities and events by Final International University. Highlights included a speech about the significance of the day by Psychology student, Bahar Çetin, a speech about successful Turkish women and the history of the day by Turkish language teaching program student, Gülşah Özgün; the reading of Nazim Hikmet’s famous poems about women by Murat Vuran, also a student on the Turkish language teaching program; and the distribution of flowers around the Kyrenia by our Sports and Nature club to directly convey the message of the day.
