Careers Conference for Girne Tourism Vocational School Students

A careers conference for 9th and 10th grade Girne Tourism Vocational High School students has been held at Final International University. Presentations were given by FIU School of Tourism and Culinary Arts. Director, Dr. Nafiya Güden, Malpas Hotel General Manager Mert Bölükbaşı and FIU Career and Higher Education Specialist, Emrah Adaklı.

Dr. Güden emphasized the contributions of the tourism sector to the TRNC economy, explained that the tourism sector and makes an important contribution to the growth of other sectors and employment. She advised the students to gain experience by working in every part of the industry in order to become a good manager in the future. Dr. Güden also gave information about successful tourism investors and entrepreneurs in the TRNC.

Malpas Hotel General Manager Mert Bölükbaşı also shared his professional experience in a presentation entitled "Success in the Tourism Sector". He emphasized that it is crucial for tourism students to see and understand the world, suggesting that students should be involved take part-time jobs before they graduate from their schools.

Emrah Adaklı, FIU Career and Higher Education Expert emphasized the need for individuals to set targets first, and explained the steps required to become a brand in business life. Adaklı advised students to invest in themselves by participating in activities that would constantly increase their knowledge and skills.
