The 2nd President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Mehmet Ali Talat paid a courtesy visit to the FIU campus in Çatalköy and congratulating our rector, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak on his appointment.

Mr Talat, a former Minister of National Education, emphasized the importance for the country of higher education and qualifications and commended FIU for its commitment to high quality educational services. Mr Talat was highly impressed by the FIU campus and building, and noted that with sound infrastructure and continuing investment, FIU was set to become a distinguished and successful institution.
