Program Aim and Outcomes

Factors affecting today's business world, such as digital revolution, globalization, sustainability and increasing competition between businesses, have made it necessary for businesses to give due importance to their marketing activities. Marketing, which can be defined as the process of creating long-term customer relations by creating value and obtaining value in return, may enable businesses to become more advantageous by differentiating them from other businesses in intense competition. In particular, the contribution of digital media to marketing activities has increased undeniably in the processes of creating difference and value for businesses operating on digital platforms, which have become inevitable with the advancement of technology. Marketing activities include determining the products and services that consumers need in line with their demands, providing information to consumers, distributing, promoting, selling market offerings and engaging in after-sales service activities. The purpose of the Marketing (Digital Media) program is to train qualified communication and marketing experts who can put the theoretical knowledge they have acquired into practice, have an analytical point of view, are open to contemporary approaches, can follow and apply them, have developed scientific decision-making skills, and have professional competence and self-confidence, can adapt to the dynamics of the global world that today's business world needs, design and carry out marketing activities by considering new media channels such as digital media, think creatively, have ethical and social responsibility values and research spirit, have developed communication skills. The program aims to achieve these goals with its curriculum based on teaching current marketing problems and practices together with the opportunities offered by digital media, by valuable and knowledgeable faculty and modern equipment (i.e. computers and other educational technologies).

To have basic knowledge about the field of education
To develop effective and creative marketing mix strategies that will adapt to different market conditions and buyer types in national and international dimensions
To generate and analyse strategies that will improve creativity and innovation in business and marketing practices
To be aware of ethical and environmental issues when dealing with business and marketing related problems
To communicate effectively in order to facilitate the flow of information in institutional, social and intercultural contexts related to their field
To analyse how local, regional, and international markets operate and how cultural and cultural issues influence marketing decisions
To follow developments in the fields of business, marketing and communication using a foreign language and communicate with colleagues from all over the world
To convey his/her thoughts on the level of knowledge and skills he/she acquired in the field of marketing to the interested parties in written and oral form in English
To have the ability to analyse and identify problems and to propose solutions with a critical point of view by using the information obtained about the marketing field
To be aware of their own competencies
To use the advanced computer programs in the field of marketing together with information and communication technologies
To improve leadership and decision-making skills that are necessary to be effective in professional business life
To understand formal and informal relationships between people in business life
To have a desire for lifelong learning and the ability to develop
