General Information

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program was established in 2018 within the Faculty of Health Sciences and started to accept students in the 2018-2019 Academic Year.

Graduates of our four-year undergraduate program receive the title of "Physiotherapist". Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals who play important roles in improving health and quality of life by planning and implementing a treatment approach in pain and dysfunctions caused by injuries, diseases, congenital disabilities, movement system disorders or other conditions. Physiotherapists involve patients in their treatment through training and awareness and teach people to cope with their problems.

Our aim is to train graduates who have the skills and competencies of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, as well as the public interest, research and questioning abilities, lifelong learning and evidence-based application skills.

The undergraduate program in our department consists of courses of 240 ECTS, including common compulsory, compulsory and elective courses. In addition to theoretical training, our students will have practice in our equipped laboratories and contracted hospitals, and they will also have the opportunity to practice what they have learned during summer internships. Exams, assessment and grading are carried out in accordance with the conditions specified in the UFU Undergraduate Regulations.

The need for physiotherapists graduated from the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program is increasing day by day, and the physiotherapy profession develops day by day in parallel with the increasing demand and developing technologies. Physiotherapists who graduate from this program can pursue their careers as healthcare professionals and go on with graduate and post-graduate studies if they wish.

The diplomas of our graduates are registered by both the TRNC and the TR Ministry of Health.
