Instructor Chef (Executive) Selim Yeşilpınar, one of the founders of Final International University (FIU) School of Tourism and Culinary Arts (STCA), Department of Gastronomy, achieved a great success and was entitled to be included in the list of '20 Doyens in Gastronomy' and he was invited to a very important organization for our country, organized by the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.

In addition, Yeşilpınar took on the task of ensuring that the Cypriot Cuisine course, which contains very important values, was introduced to the gastronomy ambassadors of the future in Turkey by ensuring that the Cypriot Cuisine course was included in the course curriculum of the first Gastronomy High School intended to be opened in Turkey. With the opening of the Gastronomy High School, an important project was undertaken with the aim of both raising well-equipped students and spreading this light of development to the world.

FIU - STCA Director Assoc. Dr. Nafiya Güden stated that the success of FIU Lecturer Selim Yeşilpınar, who has an important role in contributing to the country's tourism with a constantly rising success graph in the field of gastronomy, is not a coincidence. Güden also pointed out how important an achievement this invitation is for our country and emphasized the importance of including Cypriot Cuisine in the curriculum of high schools not only in TRNC but also in Turkey. Finally, Güden stated that by starting to give this course in high schools in Turkey, awareness of the rich cuisine of our country will be increased, and at the same time, it can be an incentive for the products grown and produced in our country to be used more in the Turkish market. UFU Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yaratan stated that he was proud of the achievements of UFÜ TMSYO and congratulated Instructor Chief Selim Yeşilpınar for the successes he achieved until being included in this project and the dedication he showed in the process.
