At a ceremony held at Final International University, the Rector of FIU, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Öztoprak and the Rector of Kyrenia University, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salioğlu put their signatures to a new protocol between the universities. The Vice Rector of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Şenol Bektaş, also participated in the signature ceremony and congratulated both universities. The protocol aims to develop cooperation in both the academic as well as cultural fields and includes student exchanges for educational and research purposes, joint short-term programs, the exchange of academic staff for teaching and research, research projects and cooperation in publications, joint seminars, and conferences as well as organizing other scientific and cultural events.
Öztoprak: We Close Ranks Wıth Eachother As To Serve Our Country
FIU Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak emphasized the importance of collaboration between local and international universities and noted that the protocol with Kyrenia University would strengthen the academic work of both institutıons as well as contributing to the district in general.
Salihoğlu: Universities Contribute To The Development Of The Country
Kyrenia University Rector, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu emphasized that the universities established on our island contribute to the development of the country as well as attaining their own objectives. Salihoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the protocol, which, he said, would be the basis for achieving future joint goals.
