A. Rector of Final International University (FIU), Prof. Dr. Orhan Gemikonaklı, paid a courtesy visit to the State Committee on Work With Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Javid Ismail, Head of the Committee’s Department, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Gemikonaklı and provided information on the committee’s activities, ongoing projects, organizational efforts for Azerbaijanis living abroad, and the contributions of compatriots during and after the war period.

Expressing his gratitude for the hospitality, Prof. Dr. Gemikonaklı shared the purpose of his visit and discussed FIU’s academic initiatives. He emphasized his satisfaction with the Azerbaijani students studying at the university and mentioned that he had held meetings with various higher education institutions during his trip. He highlighted FIU’s readiness for experience-sharing, academic collaboration, and student-faculty exchange programs with Azerbaijani universities.

The meeting was also attended by Orhan Hasanoglu, President of the Azerbaijan-Northern Cyprus Friendship Association, who contributed to discussions on strengthening educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
