Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Quality, Assurance and Accreditation Advisor to the Board of Trustees of Final International University (FIU) and a member of the Board of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), attended the CEENQA General Assembly Meeting held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 13–14 June.

Attending the CEENQA meetings as the Chair of the Internationalisation Committee of STAR — the Turkish quality assurance agency that accredits Business and Social Sciences programs — Prof. Bıçak had previously facilitated STAR's membership in CEENQA at the 2023 General Assembly in Astana. One year later, at the 2024 General Assembly in Baku, he was elected to the CEENQA Board.

On the first day of the CEENQA General Assembly, following the opening speeches, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak moderated a panel discussion on the topic of "The Relationship between Higher Education and the Labour Market," following invited speaker presentations on the same theme. The panel included relevant stakeholders: the President of the Estonian Student Union, the Director of the Slovenian Information Technology Centre, the Head of the Policy Centre at the Estonian Ministry of Education, and representatives from the accreditation agency FIBAA. Each shared their perspectives and involvement regarding the relationship between higher education and the labour market.

On the second day of the General Assembly, CEENQA President Vesna Dodiković-Jurković presented the annual activity and financial report to the assembly. Lasha Margishvili, a representative of the Georgian Quality Assurance Agency, was elected to the CEENQA Board. The General Assembly also approved the membership applications of the Architecture Accreditation Board (Turkey) and the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE). With these additions, CEENQA now comprises 44 quality assurance agencies from 28 countries. During the General Assembly proceedings, Prof. Hasan Ali Bıçak was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faruk Aysan, a member of the STAR Board of Directors.
