Final International University’s Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts held its first meeting with its newly established Advisory Board on June 25, 2025, in line with its goal of academic excellence and continuous development. The Advisory Board is composed of members who teach in the field of architecture and possess not only theoretical knowledge but also practical expertise gained from the industry. The chairmanship of the Advisory Board has been assumed by Mr. Hakkı Atun, who previously served as the Prime Minister of the TRNC and was the first President of the KTMMOB Chamber of Architects, contributing significantly to its development. Other members include former presidents of the KTMMOB and the Chamber of Architects, as well as academics.

During the meeting, which included Tunç Adanır, Doğan Sahir, Denis Kolozali, Ekrem Bodamyalızade, and Hasan Zafersoy, discussions focused on the kind of architect the job market demands and how these expectations can be reflected in the Architecture program. Representing our university’s Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, Dean Prof. Dr. Zeynep Üstün Onur, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aminreza Iranmanesh, Program Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Pooya Lotfabadi, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasiha Kayalar attended the meeting.

The meeting began with a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aminreza Iranmanesh on the educational objectives, learning outcomes, and extracurricular activities of the Architecture program. Subsequently, the Advisory Board members shared their professional experiences and provided valuable recommendations on how to train architects who meet the needs of today’s world.

Speaking at the meeting, Hakkı Atun emphasized, "Contemporary architectural education should be enriched not only with technical knowledge but also with social awareness and intellectual depth," highlighting the importance of cultivating well-rounded young architects.

At the end of the meeting, which was moderated by Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıcak, the Board of Trustees’ Quality Assurance and Accreditation Advisor, Dean Prof. Dr. Zeynep Üstün Onur delivered a brief thank-you speech. She stated that the Architecture program will continue its efforts to align with industry demands, regularly seek feedback from internal and external stakeholders, and benchmark against other prestigious programs.
