The team known as the "Golden Team" at Ünal Çağıner Tourism and Culinary Arts School published a message on the occasion of 2025 World Tourism Day, sharing their views on this year's theme, "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation."

In her message, School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nafiya Güden stated that tourism has always been a bridge between cultures and communities, noting, "This theme is not just a call to action; it is a reminder of our shared responsibility to reimagine the future of tourism in a way that serves both people and the planet."

The statement emphasized that sustainable transformation requires an integrated vision that goes beyond short-term gains, uniting environmental and cultural protection, community welfare, and innovation. It said, "Tourism is more than an industry; it is a powerful tool for positive change. When developed responsibly, it can empower local communities and preserve natural heritage."

The announcement highlighted that the Golden Team, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güden, reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable tourism, stressing that faculty members view sustainability not only as an academic principle but also as a professional responsibility and continue to support its integration into tourism education, research, and practice. The message included the statement: "We believe that our students, as future leaders, bear the responsibility of shaping a tourism industry that is fair, sustainable, and transformative."

On World Tourism Day, the Golden Team celebrated tourism's power to transform lives and societies and announced the reaffirmation of their commitment to fostering a future where tourism becomes a true catalyst for sustainable development.
