Final International University Participates in the 2025 Accreditation Training Program

In order to enhance quality assurance processes in higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) and the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YÖKAK) jointly organized the “2025 Accreditation Training Program.”

The program, held at the Presidential Blue Hall, was attended by university rectors, council members, and numerous academics. Representing Final International University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Advisor to the Board of Trustees on Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Prof. Dr. Gizem Öksüzoğlu, Vice Rector, as well as university academics actively participated, contributing to the efforts to further develop quality assurance processes.

The opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın, President of YÖDAK, and Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of YÖKAK. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Hocanın emphasized the importance of quality assurance in higher education in terms of alignment with international standards, highlighting the need to strengthen student-centered approaches and institutionalize a culture of quality.

The program addressed the following topics:

  • Quality Assurance Systems

  • Internal Quality Assurance Management in Universities (YÖKAK Model)

  • Preparation of Institutional Self-Evaluation Reports and Evidence Management

  • Rubrics and Their Relation to ESG Standards

  • The Role of Students in Higher Education Quality Processes

  • YÖKAK International Institutional Accreditation Program

Final International University regards the active participation of its academics in such programs as an important step that strengthens the university’s culture of quality and reinforces its alignment with international standards, while sustaining its quality-oriented vision in higher education.
