Final International University has taken a leading role in safeguarding, promoting, and passing on Cyprus’s natural and cultural heritage to future generations. Within the framework of the Green Schools Project, a significant cooperation protocol was signed with Lefke Tourism Association and the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association (GIKAD).

With Final International University’s academic expertise and student involvement, the project will gain strong momentum, ensuring that the values of Cyprus’s different regions are promoted both nationally and internationally.

Scope of the Protocol

With the active contributions of Final International University, the protocol covers:

• Natural Heritage: Nature walks, flora and fauna introductions, and awareness activities with student participation.

• Cultural Heritage: Promotion of historical and architectural sites, museum visits, and fieldwork with students.

• Education and Drama Activities: Creative and drama-based activities led by Final International University academics and students to transfer cultural heritage to children.

• Community Engagement: Involvement of local residents, teachers, and students in the process.

• Joint Events: Exhibitions, panels, workshops, and festivals to promote Lefke’s natural and cultural assets to wider audiences.

Stakeholders’ Responsibilities

• Final International University and Green Schools Project (MoE, GIKAD, FIU): Development of educational programs, encouragement of student and teacher participation, production and dissemination of educational materials.

• Lefke Tourism Association: Guidance, promotion, and logistical support in the region’s historical and cultural sites.
