The School of Tourism and Culinary Arts, which has been producing competent graduates for years, recently changed its name to the Ünal Çağıner School of Tourism and Culinary Arts in honor of the late Ünal Çağıner, a beloved figure in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Entering the 2025 university placement guide under its new name for the first time, the school takes great pride in introducing Ünal Çağıner’s name to a wider audience.

This development stands as a concrete reflection of Final International University’s commitment to diversifying education and strengthening Mr. Ünal Çağıner’s entrepreneurial vision in the field of tourism. The school will continue to provide its students with hands-on learning opportunities in contemporary tourism management, gastronomy, and culinary arts, ensuring the sector gains innovative and well-equipped graduates—just as it has done to date.

Mr. Ünal Çağıner, after whom the school is named, was one of the pioneers of the tourism sector in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. As the Chairman of the Board of Acapulco Resort-Convention-SPA, and the founder of Akgünler Denizcilik and Tarsan, he made significant investments throughout his tourism journey, which began in 1977. Over more than four decades, he played a key role in the development of North Cyprus’s tourism potential as a visionary entrepreneur.
