FIU Faculty of Educational Sciences Teachers' Day Celebration

Final International University, Faculty of Educational Sciences and UFÜ ‘Çocuk Gibi’ Club celebrated Teachers' Day on 25 November 2025 with a special event. The programme, held in Conference Hall II, consisted of a panel and student performances.

The programme began with a drama performance entitled ‘Mirror’ prepared by students from the UFÜ ‘Like a Child’ Club. This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic ‘Being a Teacher from Past to Present,’ moderated by Prof. Dr. Elif Yeşim Üstün. The panel featured distinguished speakers from different generations and backgrounds. Retired teacher Hüseyin Fırıncıoğulları shared his professional experience and memories from the past, while Deputy Director Yönem Tüccaroğlu offered current assessments from an educational management perspective. Dr. Çağrı Peköz shared his views on the ‘learning teacher’, while Ceren Karataş, representing Final  InternationalUniversity, shared ‘the perspective of future teacher candidates’ with the audience.

The panel created a rich and in-depth discussion platform on the historical journey of the teaching profession, its changing roles, the challenges encountered, and its future vision. The programme concluded with a "frozen photograph frame (tableau vivant)‘ performance by UFÜ's ’Çocuk Gibi" Club. The students received great applause from the audience for their creative performances, highlighting the emotional and artistic aspects of education.
