Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Advisor to the Board of Trustees of Final International University, represented our university at the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF), one of the most prestigious events in the field of quality assurance in European higher education.

This year, the forum was hosted in Budapest, Hungary, by Corvinus University of Budapest and organized by the European University Association (EUA), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Students’ Union (ESU), and the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE). Held under the leadership of these organizations, which are central to the Bologna Process, the event took place between 12–14 November with the theme “Quality Assurance in Times of Crisis.”

During the forum, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak had the opportunity to meet with the heads of national quality assurance agencies from Hungary, Slovakia, and Türkiye (YÖKAK). He also engaged in significant discussions with Mr. Stephane Lanwick, President of the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR), following the workshop conducted by YÖKAK’s External Relations Coordinator, Dr. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır. Another key meeting held during the event was with Dr. Nina Rotermund, Director of International Relations at FIBAA. Prof. Dr. Bıçak discussed in detail the accreditation process of the 8 academic programs of our university that will be evaluated by FIBAA. He described the meeting as “highly productive and insightful.”

Bringing together higher education leaders, quality assurance experts, researchers, academics, and student representatives from more than 40 countries, EQAF hosted important discussions on institutional stability, university autonomy, international cooperation, and student-centered approaches. Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak emphasized that participating on behalf of Final International University was a significant achievement. Final International University continues to strengthen its international relations in the field of quality assurance and accreditation, moving forward with its commitment to providing education at global standards.
