Final International University’s International Law Department organized a seminar titled “Pathways in Law: Building Your Legal Journey” on December 4 at the University Conference Hall. The event attracted strong interest from international students and academic staff, offering valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available within the legal profession.

The seminar aimed to guide law students in shaping their professional journeys by highlighting diverse legal and law-related career paths in Cyprus and abroad. Speakers emphasized the importance of passion, perseverance, and adaptability in navigating the evolving challenges of the global legal landscape.

The event featured four distinguished speakers from varied professional backgrounds. Mrs. Elena Samsonova, B.A. (Hons), LL.B., LL.M., Intern Advocate and member of the International Police Association, provided an overview of legal practice in Cyprus, focusing on licensing requirements and professional culture. Mr. Justus O. Tibetan, Founder and Broker of Tibet Realty Co., discussed the growing importance of legal knowledge in business and real estate sectors. Mrs. Surinder Matharu, LL.B. (Hons), Dip LPC, Solicitor of England and Wales, explored diverse career pathways within the UK and international legal systems. Mr. Güneş Menteş Barrister at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, North Cyprus, addressed the future of the legal profession and evolving expectations in the international legal market.

The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students engaged directly with the speakers on topics such as academic preparation, professional licensing, and the skills required for long-term success in the legal field.
