Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Quality Assurance Advisor to the Board of Trustees at Final International University, served as an expert evaluator in the Institutional Pre-Evaluation (MOC Review) of Jazan University, one of the leading higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia.

The pre-evaluation process, conducted in preparation for the institutional evaluation and accreditation of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), began in November with the review of the self-evaluation report and its supporting documents. The process continued in December with an on-site visit and meetings with various stakeholders, and was completed last week with the preparation of the Final Evaluation Report.

The evaluation was carried out by a four-member international expert panel consisting of Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak, Prof. Ahmed Al Kuwaiti (Dean of Quality Assurance, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University), Prof. Martin Henson (Emeritus Professor of Computer Engineering, University of Essex), and Mr. Naser Sarhan (Quality Assurance and Accreditation Consultant, King Faisal Aviation Academy).

Located on the Red Sea coast near the Yemeni border, Jazan University offers education to more than 60,000 students across 23 faculties and 7 campuses, and is particularly recognized for its Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry. To date, the university has obtained international accreditation for 13 programs, including ASIIN and ABET, and NCAAA accreditation for 15 programs. Over the past year, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Bıçak has participated in the institutional and program evaluation and accreditation processes of six universities in Saudi Arabia, including Jazan University, serving as Chair of Expert Evaluation Panels. Throughout his career, he has chaired and participated in more than 45 institutional and program evaluations on behalf of national and international quality assurance agencies in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, Türkiye, Kosovo, and Serbia.
