Cypriot middle school students achieved remarkable international success with their socially beneficial technology project. Competing at the Fibonacci EuroAsia Championship, held in Antalya between April 22–26, 2026, with participation from 21 countries, the Visionary Mind team attracted significant attention with their AI-powered smart hat project called “SenseAble,” developed in the HealthTech Entrepreneurship category.

Designed to make daily life easier for visually impaired individuals, the SenseAble project received full marks from both the jury and participants thanks to its innovative features, including the ability to detect environmental obstacles, provide instant alerts to users, and support accessible living. The project earned 3rd place across Eurasia, receiving widespread recognition and praise.

Thanks to this important achievement, the Cypriot students also secured the right to compete in the World Championship to be held in Rome, Italy.

The team consists of Çağan Karay, Ruhi Çağan Gedik, and Eren Küçüközdemir. The students’ academic guidance and technical mentoring throughout the project process were provided by academic staff member of Final International University. Their progress in idea development, project planning, and presentation preparation demonstrated that expert academic mentorship is one of the key elements of success.

The project was also supported by Final International University as a sponsor. The university’s contribution played an important role in enabling these young innovators to participate on international platforms and introduce their project to wider audiences.

By combining technology with social benefit, SenseAble showcased the innovation potential of young people while also highlighting the importance of accessibility, inclusiveness, and human-centered solutions in the technologies of the future.

This success of the Cypriot students became a source of pride for both the education community and the technology world, once again proving that young people can achieve global success with the right guidance and strong support.
