Sports Injuries and First Aid Conference Successfully Held

The School of Physical Education and Sports at Final International University successfully organized the “Sports Injuries and First Aid” conference on June 2, 2026, at Conference Hall II, with the participation of students and academic staff.

The keynote speaker, Assist. Prof. Dr. Bülent Taşel, delivered a comprehensive presentation on common sports-related injuries, preventive measures, and appropriate first aid interventions in emergency situations. The presentation particularly focused on musculoskeletal injuries, sprains, dislocations, fractures, and the importance of providing correct and timely assistance during sports-related emergencies.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical insights through real-life examples and case-based discussions. Emphasizing the critical role of prompt and informed intervention in protecting athletes’ health and well-being, Dr. Taşel highlighted that first aid knowledge is essential not only for healthcare professionals but also for coaches, physical education teachers, trainers, and athletes.

The conference attracted significant interest from students and concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants were able to discuss various topics and seek expert guidance. The event made a valuable contribution to raising awareness about sports safety and first aid practices, while promoting a culture of preparedness within the sports community.
