Final International University participated in the Eighth International Turkish Language Convention held by the Turkish Language Association under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency. The Turkish Language Association is one of the longest-established institutions of the Turkish Republic and was founded with the full participation of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The Convention has taken place every four years since 1988.

FIU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Dalyan who presented a paper entitled “The Evaluation of Perceptions of Classical Turkish Literature in terms of Semantics.’’, together with Senior Instructor Evrim Dalyan Eberdes, and focused on semiotics in eleven works from the canon of classical ‘Divan’ literature.
