In the framework of the University Recitals series in the TRNC, Rüya Taner performed in the Bellapais Monastery with the cooperation and contributions of  Final International University, and the main sponsorship of İş Bank and the Music Foundation organization. Sibel Siber, The Speaker of the parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Major General Yılmaz Yıldırım, The Commander of the Turkish Cypriot Peace Force, Brigadier General Tevfik Algan, The Commander of the Security Forces, and students from the Final International University attended the recital.

Rüya Taner is one of the world’s most famous concert pianists, and has brought life to the works of composers such as Schumann, Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Grieg, Kodaly and Mendelson. In her recital, she performed a number of pieces, including her own piano arrangements of Turkish folk music pieces.
