Final International University Professor Dr. Adnan Khashman's latest article has been published by the world-renowned publisher, Wiley, in the "Journal of Food Process Engineering". Entitled "Automatic system for grading banana using GLCM texture feature extraction and neural network arbitrations", the article resulted from a project jointly conducted with Ebenezer O. Olaniyi, Adefemi A. Adekunle and Temitope Odekuoye. Drawing on the disciplines of engineering and artificiai intelligence, the article, describes how to separate poor quality and good quality products in the food industry. The work-in-progress system was implemented using GLCM texture property analysis to derive the properties required for the testing of three different classification models.
