The opening ceremony began with a cocktail for the guests and was  followed by the 33rd anniversary celebration of the founding of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The event continued with a  moment of silence and the national anthem.

The ceremony was attended by The Minister of Internal Affairs Kutlu Evren, The Minister of Education and Culture Özdemir Berova,The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Nazım Çavuşoglu, The Minister of Environment and Tourism Fikri Ataoğlu, The Minister of Health Faiz Sucuoğlu, The Minister of Labour and Social Security Ersan Saner,  The president and members of the board of trustees of Aydın University and Gelişim University, parliament members, district governors, mayors, academicians and guests.

During the ceremony, the Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak, The Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Ibrahim Taşel, The Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dimağ Çağıner of Final International University and The Minister of Education and Culture Özdemir Berova delivered a speech.
