Final International University students visited the Nature Museum and Turtle Hospital.

Based on the "Learning by Experiencing" education model within the scope of science and nature course offered by the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Sen. Inst. Nevin Halis students had an unforgettable experience. The visit to the Turtle Hospital increased the love of nature among the students. Hospital officials stated that “injured turtles that were caught in nets and lost their limbs in various regions of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus were brought to this hospital.” The authorities said that the turtles whose treatment were completed in the hospital would be released back into the sea, and those who did not have a chance to live in the sea continued to be cared for in the pools in the center. Authorities stated that "Like in humans, animals that have lost their limbs are rehabilitated with special training” and they explained what kind of work is done for them in the center.

The students expressed that they were very happy with the visit and that the visit has increased their awareness. Participants took photos at the event.
