As part of the Final International University Career Days, cook show organized by the School of Tourism and Culinary Arts and the Career Center at Serinli campus was held with the participation of famous Michelin-starred restaurant chef Bruno Sohn.

Prof. Dr. Nafiya Güden, Michelin star restaurant consultant Caroline Van Maenen, Chef Selim Yeşilpınar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences Assist. Prof. Dr. Pervin Taşel, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Şermin Tetik, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şenol Tüzüm and BRT Director Şerife Öztemiz served as the jury in the organization.

Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students assisted Chef Bruno Sohn. Chef Bruno's menu, consisting of "Soupe de poisson, Decoupe de than a la, Calmar mediterraneen" dishes, had a Mediterranean cuisine breeze. Knowing that the presentation of the food is as important as well as its taste, the assistants fascinated the jury with their show. The jury members congratulated Chef Bruno and the students, expressing that the menu was very delicious.

Chef Bruno said in a statement: “Thank you everyone. I am happy to see that your students are of high quality. They've all made it clear that they're professionals already. We will definitely meet with these students and your university again. FIU School of Tourism and Culinary Arts gives importance to sustainable tourism and sustainable gastronomy. I have done my research before coming here. I looked at what kind of fish are grown here. I made my menu accordingly. I even tried to create a new flavor by roasting zucchini flowers with special sauces. The menu I prepared won the appreciation of the jury. By the way, I tasted the dishes of Northern Cyprus cuisine. Cypriot cuisine is very good. I would like to thank the university administration and the chefs for hosting me here. We went on a journey together. I am sure that I will come here again.”
